The dems now have a super majority on both sides of the legislature and a dem governor. Let's see if they have the courage to pass SB810, health care for all. This will save tons of money for our impoverished state.
Let's remember that universal health care came to Canada one province at a time starting with Saskatchewan in 1948.

Everyone should listen to this Orwellian Newspeak statement by the new U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California. An Obama appointee, of course. She is speaking about the Feds new efforts to target medical marijuana dispensaries in California.
She is either woefully ignorant or Orwellianly disingenuous. Notice how she starts out talking about legal medical marijuana dispensaries and then shifts to talking about problems caused by illegal marijuana operations like the Mexican drug cartels.

California is the eighth largest economy in the world, and it has a debt burden to match. The state has outstanding general obligation bonds and revenue bonds of $158 billion, largely incurred for building infrastructure. Over $7 billion of California’s annual budget goes to pay interest on the state’s debt.
