Enterprising brewers are ratcheting up the stakes with alcohol content that revivals that of whiskey.

When Scottish brewers Martin Dickie and James Watt came up with the cheeky idea to make a beer as potent as whiskey, they couldn't wait to share it with the world.
Selma and I talked about the time of my slide show and it will start at 6:30, not 7:00 on next Tuesday evening.
I visited Pakistan in the summer of 2007 while working on a project for my scenic photography business. While we spent most of our time in Baltistan, trekking to K2. K2 is the world's second highest mountain but is found with an abundance of amazingly high and rugged peaks in the most spectacular mountain setting on the planet. To get to Baltistan, we had to drive for several hundred kilometers through Pashtunistan on the way. We passed about 40 miles from Swat, the place that the U.S. military bombed yesterday.
I am going to be talking more about the Pashtun nation and less about the mountain trekking that in my usual program like I gave at the museum here in Independence last winter, but I will show the pictures all the way to K2 and the Chinese border.
